Even Target’s lower priced store brands like Good & Gather and Up & Up are no match for Walmart’s Great Value and Equate brands.
And the real jaw-dropper? The size of the gap.
Here are Walmart’s most dramatic grocery category wins:
Pasta & Rice – 47% lower priced at Walmart
Cereal – 46% lower priced at Walmart
Deli – 45% lower priced at Walmart

Of course, the lead isn’t that steep everywhere. Here are the categories where Walmart had the smallest (but still positive) advantage:
